In celebration of 27 Years of Excellence

My dear childhood friend, Michelle, introduced the concept of excellence a few years ago when she celebrated 25 years of excellence on her birthday. I found the thought and phrase hilarious and thus, two years later, I am stealing her idea. (You are brilliant, Michelle. Sorry to steal!) I am a *huge* fan of birthdays. I believe it is only Michelle and I who find the following numbers to be exciting ages: 27, 28, 29, 30, 40, 50, 65 & 93. We are also the only people left in Chicago excited about the blizzard which is on its way right now! But getting back to my point, I decided on my hour long commute this afternoon (due to blizzardy conditions) that I will dedicate this entire month to a celebration of Jennifro: 27 years of excellence. Yes, I am going all out this year in celebration of my birthday. Because it is okay to be narcissistic, self consuming, bake yourself a cake, & self celebrating during the month of your birthday.

So here are the rules: each day I am going to treat myself to something, someone, some memory that is an important player in my 27 years of excellence. You are totally invited to join in or make suggestions! (I am such a nerd... an excellent nerd though!) Here are some sneak peaks at what (I hope) February holds:

*A valentine tea party with old friends
*A Friday morning cup of rasberry chai with Megan
*Gallery hopping at Judith Roode's Body Songs with Judith (Cosettas to follow!)
*A carefully chosen new plant. Perhaps from A New Leaf (my favorite store in Chicago!)
*Sledding
*A date with Jan to Jerzy Boys
*A rock out with pump organ/ violin with Ben
*The Greek Isles... Stef?? Stef?? You still wanna go?
*Live music
*An artist's date with messy palms of hands
*Attempt to bake myself (or have patients bake me) a velvet red cake
