Ben & I sprinkled super laziness into our holiday last Tuesday. We slept way past any typical Tuesday morning alarms, gorged ourselves with french toast & maple syrup for breakfast, napped & cuddled, teased & tickled, created the ultimate potato for dinner, and moved the box fan around the house to cool ourselves down as we traveled from room to room. The festivities and parties would have been very fun but being sexy and lazy paid off with true holiday spirit. As I reluctantly entered onto highway 94 the next morning, I promised myself to fully revel in summer activities until the leaves fall. To consummate this promise, Elizabeth and I tromped to our summer coffee shop in Roger's Park, Ennui, on Thursday where we scheduled our writer's workshops and also where Elizabeth confessed her preference for scotch. I was extra delighted to find that the link above describing Ennui was written by a friend from Northwestern a few years ago. How neat is it when Chicago becomes a community!? I am such a nerd. Ready for summer (even though it started a month ago).0 comments
